Spring Garden Party!We hope you’ll join our celebration this Spring and enjoy all that’s going on at Juniper Level Botanic Garden. Each day of Spring Open Nursery & Garden Days we’ll be offering free garden chats at 10am and 2pm as part of our Gardening Unplugged educational series and local food trucks will be onsite for lunch.
During the first Garden Party weekend, Phillips Garden Art will display pottery, along with ceramic and stone sculptures for the landscape. Scheduled on both weekends is our Garden Hat Competition, so wear your most festive and creative spring bonnet for a chance to win a PDN Gift Certificate.
Spring is an amazing time to see the incredible diversity of plants that grow in our zone 7b gardens. Thousands of plants will be blooming and will be available to take home to mom for Mother’s Day and your own garden as well. A couple of our favorite spring introductions available this year include Baptisia ‘White Gold’ and Dianthus ‘Razzlepop’. Other great new plants for the shade garden include Epimedium ‘Lyrical Lemonade’, Polygonatum ‘Red Legs’, Hosta ‘Silly String’, and Dryopteris ‘Hansome’.
Some other new plants that we’re glad to finally have enough to share this year include Drimiopsis sp. nov. Kampersrus, xHippeastrellia ‘Mystique’, Sarracenia ‘Bog Witch’, and Pinellia ‘Purple Dragon’.
