2023 Annual Solar Eclipse Festival – Grapetown Vineyard & Farm – Fredericksburg Texa

Two solar eclipses criss-cross Texas in 6 months! This is a rare and exceptional circumstance for any particular spot on Earth. Consequently Texas will be a magnet for perhaps several million visitors from across the nation and around the world.

Millions of people saw the total solar eclipse of August 21 2017 which crossed the USA from Oregon to South Carolina. Nearly everyone who saw totality in 2017 agrees that it was a peak life experience and the most beautiful sight you can see in the sky. Texas is uniquely situated for a repeat experience.

On October 14 2023 an annular solar eclipse begins over the Pacific Ocean and reaches the USA at Oregon. After passing through California Nevada Utah Colorado Arizona and New Mexico the path of annular solar eclipse bisects Texas. People near the middle of the path of annular solar eclipse will see the dramatic view of the Sun as a brilliant ring for nearly five minutes.

We have a great camput and celebration lined up for you to enjoy. Located 8 miles south of Fredericksburg Texas we have the perfect spot in the path of totality. This 4 day long campout will include live music food drink activations and primitive camping!

We are in the path of totality and with great Hill Country views. It typically takes 550 years for a total solar eclipse to pass over the same place twice in the Northern Hemisphere and 350 years in the Southern Hemisphere. This is the experience of a lifetime.

We have put together 3 days of live local music picker's circles camping concessions vendors and activities to give this Eclipse a bit of festivity. Over 80 acres of to enjoy.

Choose from four (3) nights camping feel free to arrive early. Various options are available during the reservation process.

All tent campsites are 14×30 feet RV campsites are 20×40 feet. Everything must fit inside this campsite space including your vehicle and tent/RV/Camper. Does your RV require a longer space? This is primitive camping. Campsites do not have electric nor water hookups. RVs must be self-contained. Generators are allowed in the RV area of the campground but not allowed in the primitive tent camping area. Whisper Quiet generators may be allowed in the tent area if they are truly quiet. Solar power is welcomed for all campsites. Pets are allowed but MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

Portable toilets will be located at each campground and throughout the festival area. Handwashing stations will also be available. The onsite restrooms will be open to campers.

Our general store will be open each day from 8am to 9pm. Firewood bundles will also be available for campfires.

Campsite guests may bring outside food and beverages to their campsite.Outisde alcohol is not allowed due to TABC regulation. Alcoholic beverages are allowed at your campsite and will also be available for purchase in the concert/festival area.
