About this Event

Assemble your squad because Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter's Amazing Race is back! We're testing your knowledge and speed as your team races around Brooklyn solving clues to become one of two winning teams...with a few twists and turns along the way.

The morning will include time for your team to get in a light warm-up (stretch those legs!) and overview of the rules. The afternoon promises a fun filled post hunt celebration where the winners will be announced and awarded their cash prizes.

Your team must be comprised of at least two people but not more than five people. There is no individual ticket option. You'll be using mass transit to get around so please make sure all of your teammates are aware of this as it is a requirement for participation.

Prizes: Our first place team will receive $3,000 (team prize) and our second place team will receive $2,000 (team prize).

All registrations are FINAL. No refunds will be offered for cancellations. Online registration will close at 11:59pm ET on May 18, 2023. No on-site registration/walk-ups will be permitted/accepted. Rain or Shine event!


FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes - a valid photo ID must be present. Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the race to compete.

Do I need to fill out any paperwork?

Yes! If there is anyone under the age of 18 participating, we will need a signed parental consent form on file. All participants, no matter the age, must fill out an athletic waiver. These forms will be sent to you prior to the event with a deadline for them to be turned in so that we don't have to worry about filling anything out the morning of the Amazing Race.

What do I need to bring to the event?

You will need a metro card - make sure there's enough money on it (or you have an unlimited) - and smartphone to participate. Race participants are restricted to solely relying on mass transit while completing our Amazing Race. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Not necessary, but it's best to at least have your mobile ticket which will assist us to quickly complete registration on the morning of the event. However, if you forget, we will have your team check in on our sign in sheet.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, of course, up until registration closes on May 18, 2023 at 11:59pm ET.

Is it okay if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No. The person who is registered must be the person who competes. We urge you to update the registration information if you know something will change and you are unable to attend.

 Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

 No. The person who registers must be the person who competes. We communicate with that person via email to that person with our Amazing Race rules.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds. All sales are final.
