About this Event

Universal Dance Company presents the 2023 Mum's Night Out. An evening of empowering women for women only.


Guests at this intimate Brisbane event will be spoiled with a sublime selection of cocktails, decadent canapes, fabulous company and an abundance of laughs - all while raising money for our charity of choice 'Baby Give Back'.


After hearing from our esteemed panel, women will leave this event feeling empowered, more confident and have a sense of clarity around meaning and fulfilment in their own lives.

REBECCA SPARROW


Rebecca Sparrow is an author and podcast host who speaks to thousands of tweens and teens every year about the importance of cultivating great friendships and how to do it. She is the author of three best-selling novels, has written for Mamamia and Stellar Magazine, co-hosted two seasons of the award-winning podcast The Well with Robin Bailey, and played Agony Aunt to teenagers across the country on the Ask Me Anything podcast.

Bec also co-captains four enormously popular online book clubs with her friend Jane Sullivan through their company Books with Bec and Jane. She is an ambassador for The Pyjama Foundation which helps bring a love of reading to kids in the foster-care system.

LISE CARLAW & SARAH WILLS


Best friends Lise and Sarah are sought-after speakers, presenters and podcasters who have interviewed and shared stages with the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, The Hon. Julie Bishop, Zoe Foster Blake, Leigh Sales and Celeste Barber. Their podcast FORTY was downloaded almost three million times until it wrapped earlier this year. In 2022, their first book Forty Favours the Brave was published, and re-printed within six months.

They currently present and produce and weekly podcast, The Lise and Sarah Show, as well as other projects borne from their own creativity and commercial instinct, such as their wildly popular Disco Club. With a highly engaged audience of women aged 35+, Lise and Sarah are all about female friendship and the surprises in store when you just put yourself out there.

Strong, fierce and full of flare. Triple Ms Breakfast Host, Margaux Parker, brings a flair to South East Queensland’s local breakfast show. Already a veteran of the Brisbane social scene, Margaux has announced herself as an in-demand media identity since the retirement of her husband, former Brisbane Bronco, QLD and Australian rugby league legend, Corey.

A queen of social media and a proud mother of four kids under the age of 12, the Logan local is as comfortable on the red carpet as she is in a pair of uggs at school drop off. BABY GIVE BACK

Baby Give Back is a Queensland charity passionate about helping vulnerable babies, children and families in our community.

They collect, sort and safety check donated essential items (everything from clothing and nappies to cots, prams and car seats) and support families in our community by working with caseworkers and social workers to provide customised orders for each family to suit their needs and circumstances. Their priority is ensuring that all items are safe and in great condition so that families can feel the love and compassion of their community.

Powered by an army of incredible people who share BGB's vision, their volunteers are the heart of what they do. On any given day, the warehouse is bustling with the chatter and energy that these incredible people bring to their community.

With the courage to do whatever it takes to achieve their mission and the backing of their incredible community, Baby Give Back provides judgement free support to thousands of babies and children each year.
