About this Event

We're back! This time around, our conference will be held from July 30th to August 5th, with our culminating celebration taking place on August 6th. Join us on the 6th to celebrate the diversity of our Latina writing community! Our three roundtable discussions will be happening simultaneously and will be centered on PR/Business, Healing, and Publishing—you choose your interest. You'll want to stay after the discussions as the Chulita Vinyl Club will be spinning tunes to dance to while we serve dinner (first come first serve) and welcome special guest performances. We'll also have plenty of vendors, so bring your cash! And Latino Arts Network will be presenting our 2023 Maestra Award!

You may also share the event with your friends and colleagues, and those inspiring writers in your familia, just please let us know that you are coming! Bring your children - care for children ages 5 and over, with lots of activities, will be provided free of charge!

Tickets are free, but EARLY REGISTRATION IS ENCOURAGED!

The Latina Writers Conference is a program that gathers Latina creatives from the Southern California region to discuss topics central to their work as writers, performers, agents, editors, publishers, producers, and booksellers. LWC supports the wider representation of Latina voices in publishing, production, and performance, and celebrates all that Latina writers have accomplished, continue to accomplish, and will accomplish into the future.

LWC maintains the need to honor and serve a specific group of creatives and is open to those who identify as Latina including woman-identifying, trans, and nonbinary people. LWC also welcomes engagement from those who may not identify as Latina, but are inspired by the Latina experience.
