Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour consists of multiple weekends at premier tracks across the United States. Each event includes two races for each Runoffs-eligible car class.
Venues are selected based on various attributes. Some have decades of history with a record book featuring the biggest names in all of motorsport. Other sites are top “pro” tracks offering the best quality racing surface and amenities. And certain tracks were selected because they are the best “club” courses in the country, where challenging layouts are matched with warm hospitality and a “family feel” to the paddock area.
The summer of 1956 was the first full season of racing at Road America, and it included the Chicago Region June Sprints. That first June Sprints was part of the SCCA National Sports Car Championship, which determined champions prior to the now-familiar Runoffs. The June Sprints has been conducted every year at Road America since 1956, possibly making it the longest consecutively held road race in America. The iconic event, still hosted by SCCA’s Chicago Region, celebrating its 75th anniversary, is again part of the Hoosier Super Tour in 2023 and will run on Road America’s repaved 4.048-mile, 14-turn circuit in Elkhart Lake, WI.
