2023 Eureka Heights Queso Bowl Contest Entry

We googled jokes about Queso, but we decided not to share any with you today. They were all too cheesy. Instead, we'd like to take this opportunity to officially invite you to compete in Eureka Heights 3rd annual Queso Bowl. Gather a group of friends from the neighborhood or get a team of co-workers together to come up with that WOW FACTOR queso. before you start breaking open the bricks of Velveeta, make sure you read the rules first.

Rules:

1. Prepare one queso recipe enough for 200ppl | 2 oz tasters - Supply 400 oz of Queso to be safe. Eureka will supply the tasting cups for each contestant

2. Supply your own ingredients and queso vessels (chips, bread, ect.) Eureka will supply standard tortilla chips for all guests but feel free to bring your own.

4. Your queso can be premade...in fact we pretty much require it.

5. Chafing dishes are allowed to keep your queso warm. We will offer one dedicated power source if needed for a crockpot or other warming device. No more than one outlet per team.

6. We ask that all queso entries containing meat products to be noted for guests that may not eat meat.

7. Arrive at Eureka Heights on Saturday, February 11th for setup at 12 pm and stay through the event from 2 pm - 5 pm.

8. Decorate your table for a chance to when the best flair contest. Eureka will provide each team with one table.

9. Register by January 26th to be eligible to compete.

So, those are the rules. Not too bad, right?

Now let's talk about the registration fee. Each team does have to pay a $40 registration fee. But wait! We will give each team 6 drink tickets in return and a guaranteed spot to compete at the best damn queso competition this side of the bayou with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Kids Meals Houston! Team fee is non-refundable

Did somebody say prizes? Oh, we have the prizes.

1st place: Biggest Trophy + $200 EH Gift Card + $200 donated to Kids Meals Houston in your team's name.

2nd place: Bigger Trophy + $100 EH Gift Card + $100 donated to Kids Meals Houston in your team's name
