About this Event
On Monday, February 6, 2023, from 6-8pm, Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago and the Pan-Asian Voter Empowerment Coalition (PAVE) will host its quad-annual nonpartisan Chicago Mayoral Candidate Forum at the Chicago History Museum, McCormick Theater.
The PAVE Coalition consists of 16 Asian American advocacy and direct service organizations in the Chicagoland area. Founded in 2011, the PAVE Coalition focuses on increasing voter turnout and civic participation among Asian Americans and improving the lives of Asian Americans through advocacy and policy change.
Asian Americans are the fastest growing racial demographic in Chicago and the PAVE Coalition’s Mayoral Candidate Forum is an exciting opportunity to learn about candidate responses to key issues affecting Asian American communities. PAVE’s Forum will cover:
- public safety
- immigration
- language access
- affordable housing
- senior services
- Asian American community support in Chicago Public Schools
