FIRST ANNUAL STUDENT SAFETY SUMMIT ON HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS PRESENTED BY BLOOM365

BLOOM365 Lead Peer Advocates and staff will facilitate peer to peer conversations with 7th and 8th grade students on:

• self-esteem
• communication & conflict resolution
• consent & respecting boundaries
• bystander intervention
• self-care 

A special session will be held for middle school student support staff, parents/caregivers and other trusted adults on the "3 R's" for preventing teen dating abuse, sexual violence and other forms of interpersonal violence among Gen Z youth.

PLEASE NOTE: This Summit is for 7th and 8th grade students and their trusted adult chaperones. If you hare not chaperoning a student or group of students to the Summit, you may still purchase a ticket to the Empathy Awards Luncheon for $35, or sponsor a table of 8. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate adult chaperones during the Trusted Adult Break Out session. Thank you for understanding!

The day will include an Empathy Awards Luncheon to honor student peer advocate and trusted adult allies. Students and adults will return to their schools and communities with tools and resources to keep the conversation going long after the Summit. 

The Student Safety Summit centers around peer to peer discussions and skill building activities to help 7th and 8th grade students cultivate healthy and safe relationships in and out of school. The ultimate aim is to prevent dating abuse and sexual violence among teens by increasing their communication, conflict resolution, self-esteem, boundary setting and respecting skills.
