2023 BCLTS Annual Conference

Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in the New Normal: Cross-Disciplinary Theory and Practice" is a three-day international conference. It will take place at the University of Edinburgh from Thursday, 29 June 2023 to Saturday, 1 July 2023. The conference is for all those who are interested in the teaching and learning of Chinese language. Five invited leading experts will give a keynote speech and approach the conference theme from the perspectives of cognitive linguistics, language policy, philology, language assessment, as well as technology-enhanced language learning and future-proof teaching skills. The conference is collaboratively organised by the British Chinese Language Teaching Society and the Confucius Institute for Scotland. It will present an exciting platform for practitioners and researchers to exchange knowledge, share practices and contribute to the new developments in Chinese language education.
