2023 Alcohol Free for 40 | Labs + Metrics [Monroe]

Each year, the Ochsner Eat Fit team issues an annual Alcohol Free for 40 Challenge. The challenge is simple: Give up all alcohol between Mardi Gras and Easter. Make it your own self experiment with pre- and post-challenge metrics to identify the impact that 40 days alcohol-free has on your body.

The #AlcoholFreeFor40 Challenge includes labs, body composition analysis, weight, blood pressure, and before-and-after photos ($450 value) provided by Ochsner & the Eat Fit team.

Availability is limited to the first 100 to sign up, at $40 per person. In order for labs to be provided at such a minimal cost by Ochsner Health, we ask that you consider doing your labs via blood donation.

LABS: will be onsite at Ochsner Health System – LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center | 4864 Jackson St. Monroe, LA 71202 in the lab at scheduled appointments on Feb 23rd (Thursday after Mardi Gras). You will be contacted to schedule these labs following your registration via EventBrite.

**MYOCHSNER: All appointment information and lab results will be available to view on your MyOchsner account. If you are not already signed up for MyOchsner and need an activation code, please let us know. **

BODY COMPOSITION, BLOOD PRESSURE, + BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS will take place at 5 Star Nutrition | 205 Constitution Dr., #2, West Monroe, LA 71292 on Feb 23rd (Thursday after Mardi Gras). We ask that participants try to do these metrics immediately after your scheduled lab appointment in order to stagger the arrival of participants. ** Please be aware that the InBody machine will only be available for AFF40 metrics on Feb 23rd and April 6th, 2023.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for Ochsner team to place orders + schedule your AFF40 labs, please complete registration in advance by submitting the following information as prompted by Eventbrite, including Full Name, Gender, Race, Date of Birth, Physical Address, best Email Address & Phone. All participant information is kept confidential.

• Pre-challenge metrics: Thursday, February 23rd, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Post-challenge metrics: Thursday, April 6th, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

1. After EventBrite registration, you will be contacted by the Ochsner scheduling team to schedule your time slot for your personal AFF40 metrics.

2. All lab work will be held on-site at Ochsner Health System – LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center. When you arrive, you will be checked-in as you would for a routine appointment at Ochsner. Fasting is not required.

3. After having labs drawn, please plan to go directly to the Monroe Athletic Club | 3801 Chauvin Ln, Monroe, LA 7120 for body composition, blood pressure, and photos. You will receive body composition and blood pressure results immediately. Before and after photos will be emailed to you at the end of the challenge.

4. Your lab results will be available to view on your MyOchsner account. If you are not already signed up for MyOchsner, the scheduling team can assist with this when they call to schedule your labs.
