2022 Youth Job Fair: Volunteer Registration

Many of our job seekers will be attending a Job Fair, and visiting the Oregon Convention Center, for the first time. Their engagement with fair volunteers will set the tone for the day, and ensure their ultimate success. We're seeking 100 to 125 volunteers to work in one of four key roles on the day.

Registration

Registration volunteers are the first people who job seekers meet, and they set the tone for the day.

Concierge

Job Fair Concierge volunteers greet job seekers after their registration. They provide an overview of the fair and logistics, and answer any questions that job seekers might have. Concierges can elect to spend considerable time with individual job seekers to help ensure their comfort and their success.

Practice Interviews

Conducting practice interviews with job seekers on the day of the Fair. Most of our job seekers will be interviewing immediately after these practice interviews, making this a key component to their success at landing a job.

Resume Review and Applications

This area will have 20 computers, where volunteers will review resumes and provide feedback to job seekers, and assist them in accessing electronic applications from employers who they meet at the fair.
