About the EventCome out and celebrate the 2022 Young Pegasus poets with San Antonio Public Library! Open to the public for the first time, this event will be emceed by venerable San Antonio Poet Laureate Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson. This celebration of the young poets published in the 96th Young Pegasus Poetry Anthology will feature live poetry readings, music, food, and more. We encourage you to bring your own blankets and chairs to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2022 Young Pegasus poets in comfort and style.
About The Young Pegasus Poetry Competition
For more than 95 years, the San Antonio Public Library has celebrated the talents of the city’s young writers with the Young Pegasus Poetry Competition. Open to poets 18 and under, the Young Pegasus Poetry Competition invites poets to submit their work, which is then reviewed by a panel of independent judges. Poems selected by the judges for publication are printed in the annual Young Pegasus Anthology.
