OK Gang - Here's the official CCKC thread for the Stonycreek Rendezvous. I'm getting it on the calendar early so you can save the dates if you're interested...The festival is the weekend of May 20-22. The club will have have pavilion #7 (again.) . We should have the club banners up to make it easier to find.
For those that have never been...
1) The Stony is a class 3 river, comparable in difficulty to the Lower Yough, but with different characteristics
2) There is a 2 mile class 2 section below the main run and a man made surf wave at the campground take out
3) This is a festival - not a class. This means you need to line up your support before you go if you haven't paddled this before. Don't just show up and try to bum your way onto a trip making it awkward for people to tell you "no." That's how people get hurt
4) There are several races & competitions that the CCKC often does well in. The prizes are... interesting...
5) If you have questions - ASK! I'd rather you have all the information you need before you go so we can focus on fun once we're out there ?
