Our plans for the 2022 ANNUAL FALL SOUTH MILFORD ARTISAN SHOW is set for Saturday & Sunday, October 29 & 30 AT ARROWHEAD FARMThe Annual Fall South Milford Artisan Show takes place at the historic Arrowhead Farm, 780 Garfield Avenue, the weekend of October 29 & 30 from 10-5 Saturday and noon-5 Sunday.
Cathy Gatch started The Milford Pottery in 1978, originally located at the corner of Elm Street and Main Street in downtown Milford, but moved to the farm's refurbished barn in 1985. Gatch's family purchased the farm from John Pollock in 1850. Pollock, who used materials found on the farm to build the stone farmhouse, served as Milford's first constable. It's called Arrowhead Farm because of the Indian artifacts that were found on the property.
Valley View Foundation, a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation aimed at preserving historic land and ecosystems, purchased and renovated the farm in 2015.
This year's art show will include a full barn with a few new artists, and outdoor tents full of more artistic works. This show/sale has been going on for more than 30 years, will showcase unique creations from more than a dozen tri-state artists. The show runs from 10 a.m, to 5 p.m .. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, rain or shine, is open to the public, with free admission and parking.
