PREPARING OUR OCEAN NURSERY!
Each fall pregnant North Atlantic right whales travel more than 1000 miles to the coastal waters of the Southeast U.S. where they give birth to and nurse their young. With less than 350 remaining it's essential we prepare this ocean nursery for these young right whales which are vital to the species’ recovery. Join us in celebrating the annual return of right whales to our coast while learning how you can help protect them!
The festival highlights local efforts to protect these whales from extinction as well as ocean-themed activities and exhibits that emphasize education and environmentally responsible adventures and products.
Free Admission - Come early and spend the day! Educational exhibits animal ambassadors beach clean-up kids activities family fun live music food and more!!!
