About this Event

Hosted by the FIU Center for Children and Families, the Miami International Child & Adolescent Mental Health (MICAMH) Conference is the leading interdisciplinary conference presenting state-of-the-art, evidence-based prevention and treatment interventions for mental health and educational problems in children and adolescents.

Up to 18 continuing education credits are offered for:

  • Psychologists, APA
  • Mental Health Counselors, NBCC
  • School Psychologists, NASP
  • Social Workers

This conference has been approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling; Florida Board of Psychology and Florida Office of School Psychology.

The 2022 MICAMH Conference is presented by The Children's Trust and sponsored by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Rogers Behavioral Health and The Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is Division 53.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

This year, you will have the option of attending either 3 keynote talks or one workshop in the morning in addition to attending a workshop in the afternoon. Please select your options CAREFULLY. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we are limiting registration to each session and you may not be able to make any changes once you make your selection.

HEALTHY LIVING:

We’re counting on you to protect yourself and others through our Healthy Living habits: stay home if you feel ill, face coverings are strongly advised if indoors, wash your hands frequently, sneeze or cough into your elbow, make sure your vaccines are up to date and, above all, respect people’s choices.

What are you doing to keep us safe from COVID-19 during the event?

Your safety is our number one priority and therefore, we will implement the following safety protocols during the conference:

• Following all CDC, Miami-Dade County, and Florida International University guidelines.

• Recommending face coverings for all staff members and attendees.

• Signage for keeping attendees socially distanced.

• Adjusted capacities to follow socially distanced guidelines.

• Portable hand sanitizing stations.

• The continual monitoring and cleaning of high touchpoints throughout the event.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is included with your registration.

Do you have any lodging recommendations?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. You will be able to check-in at registration.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. You may go back to your registration email and edit any information you'd like.

Can I attend all the keynote sessions?

You will be able to attend either 3 1-hour keynote talks or 1 2.5 hours workshop in the morning for the days you are registered for.

Can I attend all the workshops available?

You will only be able to attend one workshop in the morning and one workshop in the afternoon for the days you are registered for. If you choose to attend one workshop in the morning, you will not be able to attend the keynote talks in the morning.

How do I register for my workshops?

You will register for your the sessions you want to attend when you register to attend the conference. We recommend you register right away for the workshops you are interested in because space is limited.

How many continuing education units can I earn?

You may earn up to 6 CEU's per day.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

The name on the registration must match the person who attends.

Can I register onsite at the conference?

Yes, but advanced registration costs are lower than on-site registration.

What's the refund policy?

We will only provide a refund up to 7 days before the conference begins. If you provide proof of a positive COVID-19 test and are unable to attend the conference, we will refund you the full amount.
