2022 Jacksonville State University GREAT Workshop

This round of GREAT, our fifth round- GREAT V, focuses on current and emerging applications of genetic technologies poised to impact our daily lives. From new uses of DNA technology in criminal investigation, to understanding the nuances of familial inheritance patterns, this round has something for everyone! Join us for a rich learning experience packed with new content, and take home two new pilot kits to field test in your classroom.

*This content is designed for high school life science teachers only and is not available for middle school teachers.

For Alabama public high school teachers, schools will be reimbursed for substitute costs of up to $70. To expedite reimbursements, we are asking for your POC at either the school or district level that we will need to contact for processing your substitute reimbursement.

HudsonAlpha continues to monitor local COVID transmission rates. While this workshop is currently planned to be in-person, a virtual or in-person decision will be made up to seven (7) business days prior to the workshop. If the workshop is held virtually, the sessions will be largely synchronous and hands-on materials will be shipped to participants. Substitute reimbursements will be available for both in-person and virtual sessions.

Please register by October 5, 2022. When you register, please keep in mind that you are registering for the GREAT Workshop in its entirety. Failure to complete all required sections of the workshop will result in forfeiture of kits and substitute reimbursement.
