2022 Grassroots. Film Fest

The 2022 Grassroots Film Fest will be kicking off with an in-person event at NIDO's Backyard in Oakland on September 15th. Join us for an evening of community, food, and film!

Following the live event, our catalogue of 30+ independent short and long-form films will be available to screen online through September 29th. This year's lineup is grouped into the following themed film segments: Breaking Barriers; Backyard Polluters; Healthy Land, Healthy Communities; Cohabitating: Sharing the Planet with Other Species; and Generation Climate Change.

We are offering two ticket options for the 2022 Grassroots Film Fest: a Festival Pass and a Live Event Pass.

With the Festival Pass you will have access to our lineup of 30+ films. Stream them online anywhere from September 15 - 29.

The Live Event Pass includes all the benefits of the Festival Pass PLUS entry to our in-person celebration at NIDO's backyard in Oakland on September 15 from 6 to 9pm.
