Westover Hills is excited to welcome Dr. Baard as the 2022 Cotham Lecturer. Dr. Baard teaches Theology at Union Presbyterian Seminary—Richmond and is the director of the Masters in Public Theology Program.
Her most recent book, Sexism and Sin-Talk: Feminist Conversations on the Human Condition, was published in 2019 by Westminster John Knox Press. She is currently editing a volume on the political theology of Paul Tillich.
A native of South Africa, Dr. Baard will speak on the Church’s response to Apartheid and how that history can help shape our own work to combat racism today.
