The 7th Annual Connecticut Cornhole State Championship will be on Saturday September 10th at Edgerton Park in New Haven, CT. This is an outdoor doubles tournament open to ALL Connecticut residents! Cash and Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Cash payouts are minimum guaranteed amounts and may increase depending on final number of team entries.
This year we are also having a second “Here For Fun” Tournament for players who don’t want to compete in the Championships but still want to play some bags (Fun teams must have an SPR cap of 110 or no prior SPR rating). Entry fee is the same price for either tournament.
CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - Starts at 10:30AM
• 1st place - $2,500 cash minimum, trophies, and custom set of Cornhole boards
• 2nd place - $1,000 cash and trophies
• 3rd place - $500 cash and trophies
HERE FOR FUN TOURNAMENT - Starts at 1PM
• 1st place - $500 cash and custom set of Cornhole boards
• 2nd place - $300 cash
• 3rd place - $100 cash
There will be a private cash bar for players 21+ with New England Brewing Co. beers AND the CT Folk Fest and Green Expo will having their annual event with amazing Live Music from 11AM - 10PM (including our favorite Alpaca Gnomes!), PLUS the Green Expo will have over 75 Exhibitors, Handmade Artisans, Food Trucks, Farm Stand, AND a Green Kids Village with Workshops, ECO Art Projects, Drum Circles, Magic Shows, Yoga, Hula Hooping, and more for the kiddos. TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
All teams are guaranteed to play 4 games minimum in Round Robin pool play. The Top 64 teams will then play in a double elimination tournament bracket structure to crown the 2022 State Champs! Here's a rundown of more basics:
All players must be CT residents to play, ID's will be checked at team sign-in
Two players per team.
Entry is $100 per team (only 1 player needs to enter per team.
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
Players must park at Worthington Hooker School: 180 Canner St, New Haven, CT.
Team check-in begins at 9:30am til 10:15a as well as practice play (Here for Fun Tournament players should arrive at 12:30pm)
Tournament Starts at 10:30am
We play by ACO rules.
Bring your own bags to play with. ALL Bags are subject to final approval of CT Cornhole officials.
