2022/2023 Sister's Creek Double Slam - Event 8
From the Tournament Director:
We will be fishing out of the Sisters Creek ramp on April 1st for the double slam. All teams must check in (Have your team #) at the ramp or text Chris Peterson your boat number at 904-349-1342 to be entered in the tourney. Tourney within a tourney will be offered then ($50 buy in). Safe light will be at 6:50 am and even numbered boats will go first with odd numbered following 2 minutes behind. An air horn will signal the start. The staging area will be the bridge fenders to the south and the concrete bulkhead of the ramp to the north. You must be back inside the same starting area by 3pm or you will be DQ'd. A courtesy measurement will happen from 3 to 3:15 and the official weigh in starts at 3:15.
Redfish must measure 18 to 27 inches, Seatrout 15 to 19 inches with one fish per vessel allowed over 19 inches and the flounder a minimum of 14 inches. Remember 6 fish beats 5 and 5 beats 4 (and so on) in the point total regardless of weight. Weighing in the both slams is an additional 10 points to your total. Weighing in the one slam is an additional 5 points to your total. All fish must be weighed and released alive to avoid a penalty. It is a good idea to use two weight bags if available, as the weight in process will be longer than normal, to help fish stay fresh for a healthy release. Lifejackets and K*ll switch on when the big motor is running. No passing of other boats within the minimum wake zones. Common water safety rules must be followed at all time.
After weighing your fish, please present your catch for a quick photo. We will recognize the tournament's top 3 at the weigh in so stick around for the presentation.
