DETAILS:
Join us for a morning of kayaking, environmental stewardship, and networking! SFAEP adopted Sandspur and Little Sandspur Islands (located immediately south of Oleta River State Park) in April 2015 to provide a community service. The event is one of our quarterly cleanups. This event is open to the public of all ages, but a parent or legal guardian must accompany minors. SFAEP assumes no liability risk for the activity, and all participants must sign a liability waiver.
RSVP to our group by sending an email to [email protected]
COST:
FREE! The park entrance fee is waived when you tell the gatehouse you are volunteering for the SFAEP Adopt-an-Island cleanup.
SFAEP cannot provide transportation to the islands, but BG Oleta River Outdoors will offer a limited number of free kayak rentals.
SOCIAL HOUR:
We will be meeting at The Historic Blue Marlin Fish House - Oleta River Outdoor Center for a Social Hour after the event. The place is 100% laid-back, and we can meet wet and filthy from an island cleanup.
