The Arts Consortium's Taste The Arts Festival is back! Join us for a full day of ART!
THANK YOU for applying for an art booth at our juried 2021 Taste The Arts Festival! Please read all of the information below thoroughly and carefully as our requirements have changed.
- NOTE: Due to website limitations, you can NOT choose your booth location on mobile devices and a booth will be randomly assigned to you. If you would like to choose your Taste The Arts Booth location, please use a desktop or laptop computer.
By registering, you agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions listed below:
Due to increasing demand for spaces, Taste The Arts 2021 will be a juried event with the CRITERIA explained in the "JURY CRITERIA" section below.
Artists noted to have departed early (before 5:00PM) from any of our previous Taste The Arts Festivals may be denied entry to Taste The Arts 2021.

NEW JURY REQUIREMENT:
IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION AND JURYING PROCESS, YOU MUST SUBMIT 1 EMAIL WITH 3 SAMPLES OF YOUR ORIGINAL ARTWORK TO [email protected]. Your email must be titled with your purchased booth number as it appears on your eventbrite purchase confirmation.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO YOUR EMAIL NOTIFYING YOU OF THE JURY'S DETERMINATION OF YOUR APPLICATION.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT YOUR 3 ART SAMPLES to [email protected] (BY 11:59PM ON FRIDAY JULY 30th, 2021) WILL RESULT IN A CANCELLATION OF YOUR 2021 ART BOOTH REGISTRATION WITHOUT POSSIBILITY FOR REFUND***.
A. ART BOOTH COST:
NON-ARTS CONSORTIUM MEMBERS
$75.00 per 10x10 GARDEN STREET SPACE (Includes Canopy) for non-members. Become a member here
$45.00 per 10x10 LUMBERYARD SPACE for non-members ( Price does not include a canopy but all other registration benefits apply. October weather may still be uncomfortably hot in the midday, so plan accordingly )

$50.00 per 10x10 GARDEN STREET SPACE (Includes Canopy) for Arts Consortium Members

FINAL ART BOOTH PLACEMENT MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION IF UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES ARISE.
B. REGISTRATION BENEFITS:
Registration (before 11:59PM on Friday July 30th, 2021) guarantees you the following:
1 - Installation and tear-down of a 10'x10' pop-up canopy for Taste The Arts Garden Street Spaces only ( Lumberyard spaces do not come with a 10x10 canopy)
2 - Entry into our 2021 Taste the Arts BOOTH EXPERIENCE CONTEST ($200.00 prize)**
3 - Mention in our 2021 Taste The Arts Artist Directory
4 - Booth sitters on event day for a 5-10 minute restroom break (as needed)
5 - NO SALES/COMMISSION FEES ON THE EVENT DAY
6 - Membership Meeting marketing and TTA debriefing will take place on: Monday Tuesday July 13th, Tuesday September 14, and October 12 at 5:30 - 300 E. Oak Ave, Visalia
C. TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Upon registration, you agree to the following terms:
There will be no refunds available after you submit this registration.***
- You must fulfill the jury requirement in order to be considered fully registered.
- If you cannot attend this event after you have registered, you are welcome to transfer your registration to any other Tulare County based artist who must agree to all of the same terms and conditions stated herein (NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY OF THIS TRANSFER).
- You agree to display only the original work of a physical, digital, or performance based nature (that you submitted for this jurying process) on the event day.
- You agree to provide your own seller's permit or resale license in the case that any inspectors request one from you on the day of the event.****
- You agree to take on all financial responsibilities for your art sales during Taste The Arts (we will not make any change). After paying your registration fee, you will NOT owe the Arts Consortium any sales percentage ( which also means that you keep all of your sales earnings ).
- ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, a 10x10 popup tent will already be installed. You may set up your art as early as 7AM on 10/19/19, and may NOT break down your art until AFTER 5PM on 10/19/19. Artists observed departing early (before 5:00PM) from Taste The Arts 2021 may be denied art booth registration for future Taste The Arts festivals.

D. JURY CRITERIA
Taste The Arts is now a juried event.
We will review each application carefully and thoughtfully. We base our aesthetic vision for all of our art vendor opportunities on the jury criteria below:
-ORIGINALITY
Your work is unique, creative, and unquestionably your own.
-INNOVATION
Your work must be recent in its creation date and it should avoid over-saturated trends.
-QUALITY
Your work must be made of high quality materials, with techniques to make your work appear durable and market ready.
-AESTHETIC
Arts Consortium is committed to promoting a wide variety of local artists who are truly committed to their artwork; therefore, we will avoid redundancy of vendors providing similar products.
-VALUE
The average price of your items provides a balance of quality and accessibility for our attendees.
E. ASTERISK NOTES
* VERIFIED ARTS CONSORTIUM MEMBERS will be given a discount code upon membership confirmation ( contact 559.802.3266 Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 3pm OR email [email protected] to verify your Arts Consortium Membership and receive discount code ). You will be given an individual discount code. Anyone found sharing codes or any nonmember using a member's code will be removed from Taste The Arts without a refund or guarantee of prior notification.
** 2020 Taste the Arts Booth Experience Contest: A panel of judges will determine the winner by his or her adherence to the theme "REBIRTH", their interaction with the festival-goers, the educational value of their booth, and the overall presentation of their art within their reserved space. The winner will receive a $200.00 check, and the distinction of having provided the best festival-going experience within their assigned booth. The winner of the 2020 Taste The Arts Booth Experience Contest will also be invited to our 2021 Taste The Arts Festival as a Featured Artist at no additional cost. NOTE: 2020 Taste The Arts Booth Experience Contest winner will be granted a free space at our 2021 Taste The Arts Festival but will NOT be eligible for the 2021 Taste The Arts Booth Experience Contest.
*** Refunds will ONLY be available for juried applicants if the Arts Consortium has to cancel Taste The Arts 2021 due to unforeseen circumstances.
**** As Taste The Arts Festival is predominantly geared toward educating our community about the amazing artistic talent in our region, the City of Visalia does not require seller's permits for people who do NOT earn more than $12,500.00 per year on their art sales alone. Therefore, we will have printed statements for you to present to any officer of the Bureau of Equalization in the case that you DO NOT have your own seller's permit and DO NOT earn more than $12,500.00 per year on your art sales alone.
