Based on the contents of "Principle-driven Skill Development", and aimed primarily at Instructors and Senior Practitioners, this event explores the application of foundational techniques from a principles-based perspective.Learn two-person drills that build the skills, with the overt knowledge of the principles that drive their success, and training methods that help the skills transfer beyond the pre-defined drills.
The weekend includes warm-ups, skill-building drills, and application principles from Five Ancestor, White Eyebrow, and several styles of White Crane, culminating in the learning of five discreet levels of sticky-hands training, used to further develop principle-driven skills.
Unlike fixed drills, this progressive platform of sticky-hands training allows for the building of useful spontaneous reactions from the clinch, including short (but powerful) strikes, joint-locks and counters, throws, sweeps, and leg maneuvers.
