2021 Pratt Museum Quilt Raffle: A Stunningly Beautiful Celebration of Homer's Creative Spirit and Natural History
For over 40 years, the Kachemak Bay Quilters have produced handmade quilts for the Pratt Museum, drawing on the artistic strength of local quilters and maintaining a vital community tradition. Each year the quilters pick a theme that celebrates the region's natural history, history, and each other, creating one special quilt to be raffled in support of the museum's operations. Using the simplest of tools - a needle and thread in hand, and beautiful fabric - together they create a stunningly beautiful legacy of Homer's creative spirit. Many of these quilts have become part of the museum's permanent collection. This year for the first time, two quilts are included in the raffle. One is themed around Alaska's Nothern Lights and the second is themed around Alaska's Wildlife. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five. All proceeds benefit the Pratt Museum, the kindness of the Kachemak Bay Quilters.
Beginning on Friday, June 4th at 4 PM you will be able to purchase your raffle tickets here at the museum for the opportunity to win two quilts created by the Kachemak Bay Quilters.
The winner for both quilts will be drawn on Friday, December 3rd. You do not need to be present to win.
