Oncology nursing is a rapidly evolving field, with numerous advancements in management of patients. Recently, a number of newer oncology drugs have been approved by the US FDA. In order to deliver optimal care and improve outcomes for cancer patients, it is important for nursingprofessionals to be aware of latest advances in various aspects of patient care including survivorship, management of toxicities of newer therapies, evolving communication needs in the era of telemedicine and genomics in oncology etc.
