Please join us for our yearly practice of 108 sun salutations in honor of the International Day of Peace at Vulcan Park and Museum.Teachers from Birmingham (and the surrounding area) will lead you through this practice. Sun salutations will be lead in the traditional count. The use of props, chairs, etc. are all welcome and encouraged.
All are welcome! This practice is for everyone - yogis of all levels - in no way do you have to complete all of the sun salutations! 5 is okay, 10 is okay, 35 is okay - come enjoy a beautiful morning in the park with us!
Covid Precautions: Proper social distancing should be practiced at all times. We will measure and mark places for mats on the patio and sidewalks. In grassy areas please spread mats out 6 feet apart unless you are practicing next to members of your household. Masking is strongly recommended for all participants while not on their mats. Unvaccinated attendees should wear masks throughout their practice.
$10 suggested donation – however, this event is free and open to the public.
All proceeds will go to towards Covid relief in India.
