About this Event
This year our annual DC Teacher Voice Summit is the Teacher Voice Festival! Learn about teacher-led advocacy on teacher diversity, changing our school ratings and governance system, standardized testing, experiential learning, culturally responsive teaching and so much more! Hear from amazing teachers, enjoy some awesome teacher musicians doing their thing and come meet DC education advocates, elected officials and more as we shape our school year 2021-2022 agenda!
We'll be covid-safe at the outdoor African-American Civil War Memorial right at the entrance to the U St. Metro Station at U St. and Vermont Ave. NW!
Ongoing: Face-painting, balloon twisting, networking, food trucks, tables with great education orgs!

10:00-11:00 am- Explore the Issues/ Meet Teacher Leaders-
JusPaul Go-Go LIVE!
11:00 am to 12:00 pm- Hear speeches from local education leaders, students and teachers and join us for interactive games and discussions to highlight key issues
12:00-12:40- Lunch, Live Music and Networking! More Live Music!
12:40-2:00- Two sessions to meet with teachers about the issues you care most about and get to work planning advocacy and action to transform DC education!
