Tickets will be live on Saturday, 9 August 2025 at 12pm.
To mark the 200th anniversary of the Medical School and the 125th anniversary of the University of Birmingham, this event will take in an exhibition in the foyer of the Medical School and include a short walk through the main Medical School building in Edgbaston, highlighting some key moments in the School’s history, including the first woman to be appointed a Professor at the University and to be elected a President of a Royal College of medicine, famous alumni and the experiences of students. The tour will be led by Jonathan Reinarz, Professor of the History of Medicine, University of Birmingham.
Tours are limited to 12 people.
