Foundational 200-Hour Teacher Training for aspiring teachers and serious students. Led by Prana Yoga founder Gerhard Gessner, E-RYT, and highly trained and experienced senior guest teachers including Sara Deakin RYT500, Dr. Alison McLean ERYT, CIAT PT, Pamela Godde RYT500, Slava Kolpakov and Vicki Abrams, our comprehensive program covers:
- intensive, alignment-based Yoga asana study & teaching clinics
- Yoga specific anatomy and physiology
- principles of Vinyasa Flow & intelligent sequencing
- principles of pranayama
- Yoga philosophy & the Yoga Sutras
- introduction to meditation
- the art of teaching Yoga incl. hands-on adjustments
- the business of Yoga teaching
- private Yoga sessions
- introduction to specialty Yoga (Restorative Yoga, Prenatal, Yoga, Hatha, Yoga Therapy)
Students will receive a diploma which they can use to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level and share with prospective employers. Completion of this program will also qualify students for admission into our Advanced 500-Hour Professional Program.
Training Hours
8 consecutive weekends:
Friday, 6:30pm-9:30pm
Saturday-Sunday, 12pm-5pm
