Who’s your teacher?
Hi I'm Ramone! I began my yoga journey by attending Hatha yoga asana classes and since then I’ve spent most of my career teaching Hatha and Vinaysa styles of Yoga asana and later developed a passion for Restorative Yoga for nervous system replenishment.
I also love sharing the benefits of mindfulness and meditation for overall wellbeing, relisience and performance. Since I began teaching 15 years ago I've combined my love of nature with my passion for Yoga and have hosted Retreats in 9 countries, with hopefully many more to come!
I have delved into many styles of practice as a student and have been privileged to train in person experienced teachers from diverse lineages including Leslie Kaminoff, Christopher Wallace, Tiffany Cruickshank, Annie Carpenter, Alan Finger and locally Alan Goode and Polly Realf.
After a decade of experiencing and witnessing mistreatment as an employee and contractor of Yoga studios around the world I took a hiatus from classroom teaching and completed qualification in Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy. I saw much unintentional harm being done by teachers unqualified to be caring for individuals suffering mental health challenges, people with physical disabilities or processing differences feeling unwelcome in yoga studios and so much teacher burnout that I wanted to learn effective ways that could help teachers create safe spaces, where a wide range of people felt welcomed and supported emerging teachers the skills they need to sustain careers in the long term without sacrificing their mental, physical, emotional or financial health.
I now combine my yoga experience with neuroscience, psychotherapy, nature based wellness and positive psychology to help create leaders with the tools they need to help shape a better future for themselves, their communities and the planet.
My hope is that by completing this training you feel confident to teach yoga in a way that supports you achieving dreams and goals and set up with the skills you need to make yoga welcoming to any population you choose to share it with.
It doesn’t matter what profession you’ve come from before, Yoga can enrich to your life as you delve deeper into it’s principles and practices. Through this training you’ll learn how to share it’s wisdom and benefits with your future students too.
