Joining us for this exciting event will be former RCMP band soloist Garth Hampson, with whom we sang many a popular Ottawa Last Night of the Proms. Renowned local organist Denise Hawkins who has worked with us many times as both an organist, half of piano four hands, and as a guest director will accompany the choir and Mr Hampson. There will be time for the audience to sing with them, too! Bass soloist Andrew Day returns to again sing "Libera Me" from Faure's Requiem as he did when we performed it with Divertimento Orchestra, and Violinist Kevin James is back to perform what was our first commission, "To Hope" by Kingston composer Mark Sirett.
Harmonia Choir of Ottawa, rehearsing in Alta Vista on Wednesday evenings at St Thomas the Apostle, celebrates their 20th Anniversary this year. The choir focus on Canadian and particularly Ottawa composers is evident in this concert, with music by James Wright, Stephen Hatfield, Oscar Peterson, Howard Cable, and more, but will include music from various concerts over the years including Faure's Requiem and the Mozart Vespers, as well as a few other favourites like Baba Yetu from the video game Civilization IV, and a nod to future concerts. The concert will be at St Thomas the Apostle, 2345 Alta Vista Drive (next to the fire station) at 3 pm on Sunday, April 28th. Tickets ($25) will be available at the door, or $20 from Harmonia20.bpt.me or from Choir members!
Come hear some of our favourites from the past 20 years, and from the next!

Tickets at the door are $25, but if you get them online today at the link below, they are only $20
