20 Years of NuWho Celebration Party & Screening eventScreening of something Doctor Who related (definitely not the episode Rose), a 20 years of Nu Who quiz and other celebrations.
It's been 20 years since our beloved show Doctor Who came back on our screens, with first episode 'Rose' broadcasting on Saturday 26th March 2005. Join us at Loks Bar and Kitchen in Glasgow's Southside for a party and screening event, where we will definitely have a projector, a screen, a sound system and a blu-ray of Doctor Who Series 1 Disc 1 featuring the first episode 'Rose', these may be unrelated facts and you can make of them what you will for legal reasons. If you were expecting something to be on the screen, I'd say we'd probably start that happening at 1.30pm. This will be followed by a 20 years of Nu Who quiz and various celebrations.
The venue is accessible, has parking and is very, very near a train station and a bus stop for many buses coming from Glasgow city centre. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome.
This event is free to attend although the Glasgow Doctor Who Society committee are asking a suggested donation of £5 as there have been costs such as the room hire associated with this event.
We will also have photographs of the Glasgow Doctor Who Society over the last 20 years since we also came back (we re-emerged in 2004 when the news came out) and look forward to sharing memories.
