As promised, WoW! and the Southeastern NC Central Labor Council will co-host a second Town Hall Meeting at the steps of City Hall in Innes Park (corner of Third and Princess Streets/next to Thalian). 💧 or ☀️ Rain or Shine.
Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. Each speaker will have 3 minutes at the microphone. There will be a time keeper.
*This is a family-friendly event (we're all irked but let's temper our choice of words for the little ears).
Bring your own chairs and/or blankets.
We will adhere to park rules; you may bring picnics.
There will be a clothesline, and you will have an opportunity to contribute to the dirty laundry that we will be airing. We'd like for this to become a moveable art installation.
NOTE: IF you sign up to speak, that is permission for us to video your speech and publish it. We will LIVESTREAM on our Facebook Page. Your speeches will be extracted as individual 3 minute videos and we will share them out on social media platforms.
We will have a petition on site (thanks to a speaker at the February Town Hall). Please sign it.
IF you are too shy to speak, we will assign a surrogate to read it for you. Please have it legibly written or typed out. (DO NOT ask random folxs to read for you; we will have readers for you to insure that your speech gets shared).
Peacekeepers will be on site.
