2-Week Clay Handbuilding Workshop: Ceramic Planter or Pot

Tuesdays, July 21 & August 4, from 6-8:30pm
Ages 15+ welcome! In this 2-part series, students will learn the basics of handbuilding to create functional and fun pieces. Working with mid fire clay, we will build our pieces and utilize decorative techniques to create one of a kind ceramic planter pots. Students will create and build their piece in the first class and glaze their creations in the last class. Students will learn the art of glazing, with many decorative techniques. Students will be able to utilize a wide array of glazes and colors in this course. No experience necessary.
All materials provided. Additional optional materials available via the instructor for a fee.
We recommend that each student bring an apron to wear and an older towel or a cloth rag.
