About your performers:
Dean Hatton has been quietly sneaking up on unsuspecting Minneapolis audiences for over 10 years, making audiences exclaim “I didn't know I liked mime!" a phrase commonly heard in the metropolis. He has performed in the Minnesota Fringe Festival, the Kansas City Fringe, and Foolfest. Dean's teachers and mentors have included Marcel Marceau Greg Goldston and Kari Margolis.
He draws inspiration from masters such as Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Monty Python and other mysterious sources unknown to the rest of us.
Beth Byrd-Lonski has been quite loudly advocating for Mime in the Kansas City area since 1995. making city organizers say “Who let the Mime into this meeting?” A phase not heard often enough if you ask her. She has performed many times in the KC Fringe Festival, The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, Art in the Loop, and all over town during the lockdown (Safest social distancing art form EVER!) Beth's teachers and mentors also include Marcel Marceau Greg Goldston and Kari Margolis.
She draws inspiration from masters such as Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy and many, many more.
Beth is a cast member of the S.M.U.T. Variety Show at Missie B's, she'll be returning this Fall to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival as Sparrow the Court Jester, and is working on creating an original play with playwright Victor Wishna about Marcel Marceau's life during the French Resistance in WWII and how he saved many children's lives during the Holocaust.
