About this Event

Become a Youth Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider)

This in-person event will occur at the Signing Tree Venue, 100 Ladywood Rd, Birmingham, B16 8SZ. There is very limited free parking on site, however, there are 2 public car parks within a 5 minute walk of the venue, which can be found here.

Starting at 9:15 AM and ending at 5:00 PM each day.

This is an in-depth look at young people's mental health and the factors that can effect wellbeing. This course gives you the skills to support young people's mental health, understand the early warning signs and provide first aid. The training is in-depth but our experienced instructors keep this light and incredibly thought-provoking.

Who should take take these courses? Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses are for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18.

You will learn about common conditions including anxiety, depression and self-harm and gain skills to talk to young people about their mental health and guide them to appropriate support. The course's core principles are built around effective, early intervention and accessing the right support.
