Join us for a 2 day, in-person event where you will learn all about the world of PODD communication! Gayle Porter, the creator of PODD, along with co-presenters Heather Roach and Michelle Hicks, will guide you through the basics of using PODD books to enhance communication for individuals with complex communication needs.Participants will learn strategies to support the design, production and implementation of PODD communication, enabling genuine communication for a variety of functions in all daily environments. Videos and case examples will demonstrate strategies to illustrate how people with complex communication needs can learn to understand and use language to enable autonomous communication. Participants will have an opportunity for hands-on practice with PODD communication books.
The fee includes 2 days of instruction with the creator of PODD, Gayle Porter, all course materials, lunch each day, light refreshments and snacks through the day.
