2-Day Fighting Shotgun (2D-FSG)
2D-FSG provides 2-days of intensive training to in employing a shotgun as a serious defensive tool. The course is suitable for beginners or for those with experience. 2D-FSG presents skills & techniques for both pump and automatic shotguns, however trainees should choose one or the other and stick with it throughout the course.
Running a shotgun requires effort on the part of the shooter, so be prepared to work hard in this course. EDR will teach various methodologies for weapons setup, ammo selection, stance/grip, reloading the gun, slug changeovers, and tactics for employing the system.
Cost: $350 per student
Pre-requisites: None
Ammo Count: 300 Birdshot, 50 Buckshot, 60 Slugs
Note: It is the responsibility of the trainee to ensure that their ammunition is correct and suitable for use in their firearm. Contact EDR if you wish to buy shotgun ammo and have it waiting on you at the course.
Course Time: 9am-4pm, no lunch, hydrate & snack during breaks

Please respect our neighbors and proceed SLOWLY down Wildlife Trail past Dead Broke Horse Farm, and look for the Every Day Ready sign on the gate to the left. Drive through the gate and follow the gravel road all the way to the range site. Park on the left between the parking signs.
Reminder: Please read and obey all posted signs and regulations. All firearms must remain secured or concealed until directed otherwise by EDR. DO NOT handle or display any firearms until directed by EDR.
Eligibility to Attend:
- Each student MUST submit a completed & signed EDR liability waiver.
- There are no training pre-requisites for this course.
- Each student MUST meet all Federal & State laws to possess & use a firearm.

Student Required Items:
- Shotgun - Pump or semi-auto, 12ga is recommended, 20ga is acceptable
- Note on Shotguns: DO NOT BRING magazine fed shotguns such as a Saiga, or pistol grip shotguns such as street sweepers, TAC-14 or TAC-13. Shotguns such as these INCOMPATIBLE with this course of training.
- Sling - A sling is recommended for all-day carry, but is not required.
- Eye protection approved for shooting (clear is best)
- Hearing protection approved for shooting
- Clothing suitable for active training & the weather forecast
- Long Pants with a sturdy belt are required
- Appropriate outdoor shoes, no open-toed shoes are permitted
- A ball cap with visor is recommended
- Jacket and layers to adjust for comfort (waterproof is recommended)
- Females are advised to NOT wear shirts with a plunging neckline, as hot brass may fall into the shirt and cause burns.
- Hydration – EDR recommends at least 1gal of water per person
- Lunch and snacks
- Ammunition - Birdshot is used for manipulation training. While any birdshot will do, it's best to acquire "high-brass" birdshot with a higher powder charge if you are running an automatic shotgun. This will give you less malfunctions when training with a semi-auto shotgun. Your pump action will cycle just about anything. For buckshot, any 2-3/4" 00 buck is recommended. Refund Policy: Our default cancellation deadline is 2-weeks from the class date. EDR may elect to provide refunds within that 2-week time frame on a case-by-case basis. Typical cases resulting in refund are death in the family, grievous medical issue, nuclear war, or inability to make a weather-rescheduled date. Due to our registration service, registration fees are non-refundable.
