OMA 1st Thursdays: Within These WallsEvent Date: Thursday, December 2, 20216 PM - 9 PM
For the first time in the history of 1st Thursdays, “Within These Walls” displays the artistic talents of the museum’s staff members and support groups. This exbibit features a wide range of artwork that displays the interests and technical abilities of the museum’s personnel. Varying in size and media, the exhibition is a combination of the creative forces that reflect the diversity of the Orlando Museum of Art’s community.

Connoisseurship and Collecting: Masterworks of European Painting from the Muscarelle Museum of Art at The College of William & Mary

This exhibition of 23 paintings includes many of the collections most significant works dating from the 16th through 20th centuries. Highlights include a drawing by the Renaissance master, Raphael, paintings by Italian, Flemish, and Dutch masters of the Baroque period such as Titian, Annibale Carracci, Peter Paul Rubens and Rembrandt, important 19th century French paintings by Paul Cézanne and Eugène Boudin
Treasures from the Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University: Five Centuries of Old Master Painting

This exhibition of more than 60 works of art from the 14th through the 19th centuries reflects the dramatic course of religious, artistic, and cultural history in Western Europe during these formative centuries. Highlights include masterpieces by Botticelli, Rubens, Tintoretto, Veronese, Cranach, Murillo, Ribera, van Dyck, and Doré.
Cathedrals of Florida: Masterworks by Clyde Butcher

In the tradition of the nineteenth-century Hudson River School painters, Clyde Butcher’s photography capture sweeping vistas of Florida’s most inspiring natural environments. These monumental works draw the viewer into the landscape, while their striking compositions, vivid detail and radiant luminosity evoke the spiritual connection with nature that is at the heart of his work.
Luces y Sombras: Mexican Photography from the Bank of America Collection

Capturing modern Mexico’s culture, architecture, and people through photographs, Luces y Sombras presents over one-hundred works dating from the 1930sto the present day. The exhibition contains 108 photographs. This exhibition is provided by the Bank of America “Arts in Our Communities” program.
