The first edition of the Luthier Tap Festival will take place from the 24th to the 30th of July, in Luthier Dansa School, in Barcelona. The festival was conceived by Guillem Alonso, who is also the director of the school, to promote Tap Dance, an ancient percussive dance, around the European and worldwide community that is connected to this art form.Luthier Tap Festival will be a full week of classes and events, covering many different areas of interest in Tap; such as technique, history, professional showcases, debates, students performances, music jams and dance battles. The main schedule of classes counts 13 professional tap dancers as teachers; 4 international guests from the US, and 9 local teachers that are important representatives of Tap Dance in Spain.
