WOW! - What a tumultuously potent year 2024 has been for us all. A cycle simultaneously full of beauty, shadow, alchemy, movement, and evolution on many fronts. Our community has grown so much over the course of 2024, and we are grateful for each of you and the ways in which you continue to show up for your embodied, Sol Dance Community.We have something extremely special planned for those of you who are seeking an intentional & sacred way to celebrate New Years Eve '24 in Atlanta. Thus we introduce to you "THRESHOLD" - The Last Dance of 2024 + The First Dance of 2025! We'll be dividing our experience into 2 parts- half of it being dedicated towards what you are releasing with the passing of 2024, and of course what you wish to call into your embodied experience for 2025. A simple, yet powerful opportunity to engage in as a collective.
Maya Lemberg & Scott Houston return to guide our experience as Co-Founders of Sol Dance while welcoming a slew of talented guest facilitators & artists alongside them to assist in navigating our way through this very special moment! Read on to find our additional details about who all will be joining the roster of Event Faciitators.
There will also be a variety of ways in which you can engage with the 10,000 square foot, hard-wood, high ceiling space at Ambient + Studio including a Community Artisan Market + a Non-Alcoholic Herbal Elixir & Sensory Bar provided by The Bardo, ATL. In addition, we are happy to welcome in the presence of a Cacao Balcony Lounge & Activation Space provided by Christina Della Iacono + Friends.
"Pay-What-You-Can" ticketing (sliding scale of $20-$35) will be available ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL THE EVENING OF 12/30 when tickets will shift to being $35 at the door (That means we are encouraging each of you to get your ticket early, ASAP!). The pricing is being structured this way - specifically for THRESHOLD - due to the increase in venue costs at Ambient + Studio for hosting a dance on New Year’s Eve. (Basically it is costing us more to rent the venue for this event in particular.) That being said, we are grateful for your compassionate understanding and you can expect for us to revert back to the standard sliding scale "Pay-What-You-Can" model for our dances throughout 2025 and beyond. Thank you!
We would also love to invite and encourage everyone to come wearing white or light colored ceremonial attire - or simply as your most beautiful, creative selves! Our intention is to facilitate a moment of the entire group JUMPING into the next cycle together (right at midnight!) and we would LOVE for the collective to add to our unification in this way through intentional color choices!

PARKING:
The entrance to the venue parking lot is on the Northbound side of Northside Dr, SW. Turn right just before the overpass onto the road and through a chain-link gate. You will be directed to where to park your vehicle from this point (likely in a parking lot underneath the overpass).
CHECK-IN:
Will be in the main corridor entrance to the dance space after entering the venue once you have parked your vehicle. Have your QR code ready for scanning to receive your wristband. All "PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN" ticket tiers will be for sale the day of the event and can be paid with cash, Venmo, CashApp, or credit/debit card. However, we do recommend purchasing your tickets in advance at soldancemovement.com to reduce registration time at the event. Thank you!
WHAT WE DO:
Sol Dance is a free-form movement experience where all bodies are welcomed. We offer a gently guided sensory journey meant to be experienced in its entirety. The music is meticulously curated by Sol Dance Resident DJ & Co-Founder – Scott Houston – alongside talented guest DJs, percussionists & sound healers. You can expect a culturally-diverse blend of electronic and acoustic sounds, skillfully attuned to the energy of the group. Beginning with an opening meditation and moving into deeper, slower sounds, the bpm & energy peak in the middle, and are finally brought back down, closing with meditative sound healing and a gratitude circle. We invite you to gift yourself the complete experience from start to finish.
EVENT GUIDELINES:
BE PRESENT - Please, no phones on the dance floor. We aim to have the dance space just for dancing. You may take consensual videos/photos outside the dance space.
BE CLEAR - We provide a substance-free experience. No drugs or alcohol in the event space.
BE CONSENSUAL - We request consent: Please get permission before involving others in your dance, or your pictures & videos.
REMINDERS:
- Bring your own FULL water bottle to stay hydrated during the dance!
- Purchase tickets in advance at soldancemovement.com to reduce registration time at the event.
- Pick up any trash you see on the ground before you leave.
- Tickets are non-refundable or transferable to future events.
