Join us for the 1st Annual Festival of Voices—a celebration of queer community, creativity, and care.
Multiple Irvington venues are coming together for one incredible evening of art, music, poetry, and mutual support. Every dollar raised goes directly to trans people in need in the greater Indianapolis area.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
QLT GEN QUILTS UNVEILING (The Backlot, 5635 Bonna St)
The moment we've been waiting for! After a year of surveying the queer community across different generations, the QLT GEN project quilts are ready to be revealed. Each square represents one person's voice. These quilts exist to foster intergenerational conversations and strengthen our community bonds. Learn more at qltgen.com
QUEER SOUNDS STAGE (Irvington Vinyl & Books, 202 S. Audubon Rd)
A celebration of queer voices in poetry and storytelling, featuring Willie Carver, author of Gay Poems for Red States. Open mic welcomes everyone to share poetry, short stories, or messages for the community. Your voice belongs here.
QUEERLY CRAFTY MAKERS MARKET (Magpie Gallery, 206 S. Audubon Rd)
Shop local queer artists and makers offering a vibrant variety of handmade goods. Support queer creatives while supporting the cause.
GENDER-AFFIRMING CARE (Salon Citrine, 203 S. Audubon Rd)
Pay-what-you-can haircuts and esthetician consultations. All proceeds benefit trans mutual aid.
FLASH TATTOOS (Great Day Tattoo, 204 S. Audubon Rd)
Get inked by talented artists while celebrating community.
FREE STI TESTING (Damien Center Underground Mobile Van)
Confidential testing available throughout the event. No appointment necessary.
This is what community looks like, multiple businesses and organizations coming together to celebrate who we are and support those who need it most. Whether you come for the art, the poetry, the tattoos, or just to be around your people, you're welcome here.
All funds raised support trans mutual aid in the greater Indianapolis area.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring yourself. Let's show up for each other.
📍 Location: Corner of Bonna Ave & S. Audubon Rd, Irvington
