On Saturday, Feb. 1st @ 10:00am @ the Hammond Public Library -- Brothers Michael & Mario Bovino present โ19th Century Life Through Artifacts.โ The brothers are modern-day โbottle diggers,โ who will explain how they unearth remnants of the past in the Chicagoland area. This work is as "hands-on" as it gets! Their archaeological hunts include the Calumet Region, where they hail from. In fact, they are graduates of T. F. South High School. They've presented to other local societies, such as to the Lansing Historical Society in March 2023.Be prepared to see some of their real finds they've dug up, including ones related to 1800s Hammond, when you walk into the Library's Community Room @ 564 State St. on 2/1!
