The University of Central Florida Center for the Study of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery (HTMS) and United Abolitionists, Inc. invite you to the 19th Annual Human Trafficking Conference on Thursday, January 21, 2027, at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Orlando, Florida, or online.
For nearly two decades, this conference has brought together multidisciplinary professionals, survivor leaders, researchers, educators, students, healthcare providers, law enforcement, prosecutors, hospitality professionals, government agencies, and community organizations to strengthen the response to human trafficking through education, collaboration, and innovation.
This Year's Theme
Invisible No More: Recognizing and Supporting Forgotten Populations
Although awareness of human trafficking continues to grow, many individuals experiencing exploitation remain unseen. This year's conference focuses on populations that are frequently overlooked due to systemic barriers, stigma, disability, age, gender, labor exploitation, immigration status, geographic isolation, and other intersecting vulnerabilities. Together, we will explore how to better recognize these populations, remove barriers to support, and create more equitable, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed responses.

• Multidisciplinary discussions on prevention, identification, response, prosecution, and long-term support
• Networking opportunities with professionals from across sectors
Conference Level
This conference is designed for attendees who already have a foundational understanding of human trafficking. Sessions will focus on emerging research, multidisciplinary collaboration, trauma-informed practices, policy, prosecution, survivor-informed approaches, and innovative strategies rather than introductory concepts. While participants from all sectors are welcome, this is not a Human Trafficking 101 training. Those who are new to the field are encouraged to complete introductory human trafficking training before attending to maximize their conference experience.
Supporting Survivors
We’re collecting essential hygiene items to support survivors of human trafficking as part of the 18th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference. Donations will be received on the day of the event.
What to donate: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, liquid hand soap, soap, body wash, ChapStick, body wipes, lotion, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, new undergarments, face wash, feminine hygiene products, hairbrush, and small backpacks.
To respect the privacy and comfort of all attendees, a designated Red Zone seating area will be available within the auditorium for guests who prefer not to be photographed or recorded. No photos or videos will be taken of individuals seated in this area.
Registration is free, and complimentary lunch and parking are included for all in-person registered attendees.
