Dance under the stars with your sweetheart, amongst WWII planes, and vehicles, listening to the most sought-after big bands!! Enter our hangar made into Casablanca's Rick’s Cafe Americain! With breathtaking movie set props & lights, and even a roulette table you can play!
Walk down Victory St. under a canopy of lights, amidst vintage vehicles, museum displays, and re-enactors! See a 1940s DRIVE-IN MOVIE theater! Join the Best Dressed contest, dance lessons, interactive scavenger hunt and so much more! Spend a night out in the ’40s!

2025 Theme: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra (His Music and Movies)!
Frank Sinatra achieved his first success as a vocalist in the Tommy Dorsey Band and he is featured in many of the orchestra's most famous songs. Tommy Dorsey had a run of 286 Billboard chart hits, including many number one hits in the 1930s and 1940s! The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra was recognized as the greatest dance band of the era, swinging with the best and beyond compare. We are so excited to bring you their, "Tribute to Frank Sinatra" at the 1940s Ball for the very first time!
* VICTORY STREET (Sinatra-themed) showcasing: spectacular sets, historic exhibits, multimedia displays, and International foods! Check out our new South Seas Club on Victory Street too!
* Meet 1940s broadcaster, Edward R. Murrow and try your hand with “on air” vintage radio presenting on real 1940s broadcasting equipment!
* Stop by the 1930s, 40s and `50s car show!
*Visit the WWII planes, wander through the WWII base camp and talk to our WWII living history re-enactors!
* Check out our Sinatra-themed 1940s Drive-In Movie Theatre featuring authentic classic cars + concessions (including the 1949 Blue Ice Cream Truck)!

Other fun happenings at the Ball…
Swing dancers will heat up the dance floor under a canopy of movie set lights while cigarette girls hand out rations. Attendees will have the opportunity to have their photos taken with WWII planes and military vehicles, stop by the Tango Tango club tent or the “Cantina” tent, enter the 1940s costume contest and dance the night away in a Conga Line! And to top the night off in grand style we’ll announce the end of the war with an authentic 1940s radio announcement complete with a confetti drop and celebration!

The best part? You'll be celebrating this cherished era for a great cause! The 1940s Ball donates a portion of ticket sales to non-profits close to our hearts. We're proud to have donated over $118,000 to our charities.

Attire
There is a dress code for this event in keeping with the theme, the historic sets, WWII planes, and automobiles. We strongly advise 1940s themed evening attire, party dresses and/or uniforms. For inspiration and recommendations please visit our Dressing 1940s section. Actual vintage dress is best, however, if you cannot find period attire to wear, women can wear a modern dress that is cut like those from the era with vintage accents such as vintage jewelry, gloves, and/or a flower in their hair and men can wear a modern suit that looks similar to those of the era with accents like a fedora, suspenders or a bow tie.
***Please wear or bring comfortable shoes. The event is at an active airport and the ground is uneven in some areas and has grass and gravel, we highly recommend comfortable shoes. ****If you wear heels, we highly recommend bringing a comfortable pair of shoes to change into.
Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final and the event is rain, snow or shine. We do not offer refunds due to scheduling conflicts, illness, injury or other personal issues (under any circumstances, there are no exceptions). Can't make the event? We now offer an option to help facilitate selling your tickets Tixel or you can transfer them to another person here
