18th Century Unpacked : Haydn In London A relaxed concert/talk series at the State Library of NSW with performances by the AHE & presented by Special Guest Andrew Ford.
In Haydn in London, we delve into one of the most remarkable chapters of the composer’s life — his celebrated visits to London in the 1790s. These were years of artistic triumph, creative freedom, and international fame. Haydn’s music dazzled audiences and shaped the future of the symphony.
Guiding us through this fascinating period is special guest presenter Andrew Ford, acclaimed composer, broadcaster, and host of ABC Radio National’s The Music Show. With his trademark insight and wit, Andrew unpacks the cultural and musical significance of Haydn’s time in England.
Tickets are $50 and include a welcome glass on arrival.
