18th Annual Luna Park Chalk Art Festival

Join us on the sidwalks of Backesto Park for a colorful day of art, music, food and family friendly entertainment! Bring your family and friends to observe your artistic creation.

We are 100% non-judgemental, welcoming chalk artists of all ages and abilities.

By registering for a chalk square you will be contributing to our Foundation's mission, which is:

• Provide inclusive, participatory, arts events that support artists, educators, students and community members.
• Support youth arts programs in schools and nonprofit organizations through our workshops, events, and grants.
• Activate community spaces in the Luna Park Business District, the Northside Neighborhood, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

When you register for a chalk square, we provide you with the chalk and consider you to be a "contributing artist" - you contribute by adding to the color of the day and also, a portion of your registration fee goes toward:

• Running our Festival - city fees, site services, security, equipment rental, etc.
• Providing honoraria for inspiring artists and stage entertainers.
• Providing free chalk spaces for registered youth groups.
• Donating funds to arts programs for the participating youth groups (¾ of our participating youth groups are Title 1 schools).

This event is run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of our neighbors and friends.
