EVENT RULES
1) REGISTRATION
Pre-Registration Links will be available before the ball for advanced entry. Onsite Registration will also be taken onsite at the door. Registration will be required to enter the building. NO EXCEPTIONS !!

2) SAFE ZONE
This is a drug-free, substance-free, alcohol-free, violence-free event. ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, OR WEAPONS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS EVENT. IF ANY PARIAPHERNIAL IS FOUND AT THE SECURTITY CHECKPOINT IT WILL BE CONFISCATED (WITHOUT RETURN) AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE VENUE ... LEAVE ALL SUBSTANCES AT HOME !! ... IF ANYTHING IS FOUND INSIDE THE EVENT IT WILL BE CONFISCATED (WITHOUT RETURN) AND YOU WILL BE EJECTED IMMEDIATELY !!

3) NO VIOLENCE
Any acts of violence or verbal altercations against another individual, staff or security will result in the immediate ejection from the event without the possibility of returning !!

4) PROPS
Absolutely no fire or dangerous props will be allowed into the venue at all. Any instances that appear to use unsafe props will be chopped immediately and removed from the building.

HMI AWARDS has been a beacon for creating a community for youth and young adults within the Kiki House & Ball scene to express their talents, skills, leadership, and creativity as they pass through the channels of a star, statement, legend & icon. Now we’re back for another year, and community has collaborated with the HMI Awards Ball. In the spirit of FUBU (For U, By U), each category has been crafted by a different Kiki house to collectively build the event for the night. Giving the community a seat at the table; a voice to be heard; and autonomy in the vision of the event is the striving goal to sustain the legacy in our 18th year. ALL houses unified for ONE cause …. and with that, HMI AWARDS presents .... ALL IN ONE !!
